Economic Operator Registration
We would like to inform you about upcoming changes in the customs legislation regarding customs clearance of your shipments.
Effective as of July 1, 2009, each economic operator (a natural person/legal entity) active in any of the EU Members States must use the so called Economic Operator Registration and Identification number (EORI number) for the purpose of information exchange with customs authorities during the customs clearance process. The EORI number shall replace the current VAT number in all customs documentation.

The Czech customs authorities will automatically inform the companies that regularly submit customs declarations about the number at the end of the first quarter of 2009. Other companies will have the EORI numbers assigned to them based on a request from 01/06/2009, however not later than during the first customs proceedings after 01/07/2009.
In connection with the said change, we would like to ask you to advice us of your EORI number by means of an e-mail sent to EORICZ@dhl.com, by fax to 220 300 456 or by calling our non-stop Customer Service telephone number 840 103 000 in order to prevent any delays in customs clearance.
We would like to take the opportunity and ask you to deliver the current documents necessary for the customs proceedings – extract from the Commercial Register, VAT registration, EKOKOM Certificate and an amended Power of Attorney including the elements connected with using the EORI number.
